Shadow Yamoto

this is Shadow Yamoto, a ninja assassin from the Genesis title "Eternal Champions."

this game is a 2D fighter where characters from many different time periods are taken moments before their deaths and are put in a tournament to duke it out to see who can save the future and have a second chance of life. HOW COOL OF A FIGHTING GAME CONCEPT IS THAT?!

now, this may have not been the best of games when it comes to gameplay, but it holds a special place in my he art as the very first traditional fighting game I ever played. back when I was a wee little Ernie with my brand new Sega Genesis.

the game had some of the goriest stage fatalities I've ever seen on the Genesis. o3o hell, the background of this image has shadow positioned at the sweet spot for her stage's fatality! XD just see for yourself. oAo (even though this is a gorier version from the Sega CD Sequel. XP)

it's flawed when it comes to gameplay and the arcade mode is hard as hell, but I love it nevertheless. check it out if you're curious about gore, time travel, and incredibly hard final bosses.

also, I drew her in her attire from the first game since I like that one bettar.
